Summer is here and I'm staring down a stack of possible books to start my summer reading. There are so many good new books, it's hard to know where to begin. A good place to start might be the new list of DCF titles for 2011-2012... great books targeted for 4th-8th graders. Usually I'll have read most of these by now, but last year our library budget was used to pay for exceptional costs related to our building reconstruction, and we had much of our fiction chapter book collection in cardboard boxes on the floor until May. Now we're back on track, and the budget year has arrived, so it's time to dive into some new books. Thanks to colleague Susanna Paterson (SA@Barnes Librarian) for this great DCF 2012 Prezi to help choose. Which books look most interesting to you? Any suggestions for where I should start (or which books we'll need multiple copies of)?
